Based on an illustration from Birds of America (1827) by John James Audubon, this new puzzle features four mallard ducks foraging. The mallard is a medium-sized waterfowl species that is often slightly heavier than most other dabbling ducks. The male mallard is unmistakable, with a glossy bottle-green head and a white collar that demarcates the head from the purple-tinged brown breast, grey-brown wings, and a pale grey belly. The female mallard is predominantly mottled, with each individual feather showing sharp contrast from buff to very dark brown. The mallard is widely distributed across the Northern and Southern Hemisphere. It inhabits a wide range of habitats and climates, from Arctic tundra to subtropical regions. It is omnivorous and very flexible in its choice of food. After enabling piece rotation you can rotate a piece by double clicking/ tapping on it or pressing the space key while dragging the piece.
