Mussel Fishers At Berneval

Another art-themed puzzle is here. This new one is based on Pierre-Auguste Renoir's 1879 painting called "Pêcheuses de modules à Berneval, côte Normand" (Mussel-Fishers at Berneval). Renoir painted this idyllic scene of a family gathering mussels during an 1879 visit to the Normandy coast. Marine mussels are abundant in the low and mid intertidal zone in temperate seas globally. People have used mussels as food for thousands of years. There are about 17 edible species of mussels that live in saltwater or freshwater habitats. Puzzle Of The Day On 03/Jan/2021
